How to order your album

1. Apply for a Pro Membership:

To begin working with us, you must be a professional photographer and sign up for a Pro Membership 

2. Find the right album for you:

Browse our website and identify the product that best fits your needs. From thick pages & leather bound wedding albums, to press printed books & thin paged albums, we offer something for everyone and every occasion.

3. Submit files & Place order:

Follow the instruction to complete placing order. Once we receive your order, we will begin making your albums.

4. Album ships:

It will take 2-5 weeks to process and ship out to you, depending on the album and the service you select. For Roma and Ventura stock albums, they are typically read to ship out in 1-2 days. All other stock albums will ship within 1 week.

General Information

Payment

  • Products are charged in full prior to shipping.
  • Credit cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
  • Reniassance Albums will charge the credit card on file unless otherwise specified.
  • Check Payment: Certified Check/Money Order
  • No C.O.D. allowed.
  • Design, work, and cancellation fees are non-refundable. Please note that for Design Service orders, design fees are charged prior to the start of work.
  • Shipping and handling are non-refundable.

Returns

  • All returns for refund or credit due to an ordering error must be requested within 30 days upon receipt of merchandise.
  • Returns must first be reported and then authorized via email (info@renaissancealbums.com). If the return request is deemed valid, a Return Authorization # will be provided within one business day. Returned products should be in its original packaging, properly protected, and include the Return Authorization # you are provided with.
  • Damaged products are the responsibility of the carrier and should be refused if delivered in poor condition.

Shipping

  • Shipping due dates are estimated target dates and are not guaranteed. The estimated ship date is based on average turnaround times but may vary depending on current volume of orders and time of the year. Rush service with guaranteed due dates are available for a 20% upcharge and is handled on a per case basis.
  • Renaissance Albums uses UPS as the default shipping carrier for all domestic and international orders. UPS Ground is the default shipping method for all domestic orders. UPS Worldwide Expedited is the default shipping method for most international orders, but USPS is also available upon request and used under certain circumstances. Expedited shipping options are available upon request.
  • Renaissance Albums does not ship to P.O. Boxes.
  • Renaissance Albums allows drop-shipping directly to clients with no additional fee. By default, a signature is NOT required and will only be added per request. Providing an accurate and safe dropship address is very important as the photographer and client assume responsibility for any lost packages. If dropship is requested, Renaissance Albums is not responsible for the package once UPS designates it as delivered, regardless if it is lost, stolen or damaged.
  • A signature is not required at time of delivery but is available upon request for a $5 fee.
  • Shipping rates are subject to change throughout the year.
  • Flat shipping rates for custom albums are determined by location and distance from our facility in New York.
  • Exact shipping quotes for stock/webstore orders may not be readily provided due to the various weight and size of multiple items in a given order.

Ordering Guidelines

Choose a Service

  • At Renaissance, we strive to cover all aspects of album-making under one roof. Finding the right service and style of album is important, so please take the time to review what service and product works best for you.
  • For custom books, select from the services we provide (Option A, B, or C).
  • To order stock albums, they are ready made for immediate delivery and can be ordered directly through our webstore or via phone, email or fax. Volume discounts may be available. Please call for a quote. Typical turnaround time: 1 week in-house.
  • Select stock products are available as Mix & Match orders. These must be ordered by filling out and submitting a Mix & Match order form via email, fax, or Renaissance’s online ordering system. Please double check your order and order confirmation, as Mix & Match books cannot be returned. Typical turnaround time: 1-2 weeks in-house.

Submitting files

  • Pro Membership allows you access to online ordering system, FTP, ROES, and Renaissance Albums order forms.

Login to your account, select “submit order” to send files via FTP or ROES. (All orders sent via FTP must be submitted with a completed order form.)

  • Orders may also be submitted via DVD, CD, or flash-drive to:

  • Any missing or conflicting information in your application may result in the delay or rejection of your application verification and approval.

Print proof

  • The first set of proof prints ordered will be free of charge. All subsequent proof prints will be charged at Renaissance Albums’ print cost, plus shipping.
  • Proof prints are available upon request at a fixed price of $15.
  • You may choose 1-3 files to be printed at either 8×10 or 10×10.
  • Reniassance Albums will not be responsible for color-match issues if proof prints are not requested and prints match the files.

Ordering duplicate albums

Our duplicate album discounts are ideal for the photographer wanting to offer multiple album packages to their clients. Whether it’s for parents, grandparents, parties or teams, offer more albums in your packages and save! The duplicate discount applies to Soho Books and Fine Art Albums only and at 35% off.

Duplicate Album Policy:

  • Duplicate album discount is available for Soho and Fine Art Albums only.
  • The original album must be at least a “Medium” sized album.
  • The duplicate album must be the same size or smaller and in the same format (i.e. square to square).
  • A duplicate album can be ordered up to 3 months from delivery of the original order to receive the duplicate discount.

Design Guidelines

Color calibration

To ensure the best possible color, please calibrate your monitor to Renaissance’s specifications. Recommended monitor calibration settings:

  • White Point: 6500K or D65
  • Luminance: 140 (between 120 to 160)
  • Ambient Light Adjustment: disable
  • Gamma: 2.2
  • ICC Profile Version: Version 4 (use Version 2 for below OSX 10.6 or Win XP, Vista)
  • ADC: Enable (it will automatically control your monitor setting in supported monitor model)

Design layouts & Trim guidelines

  • The designed layouts should be sized exactly according to the size of the page or pagespread depending on the album type.
  • Soho and Essex have full pagespread layouts, while Fine Art and Bowery have single sided layouts.
  • Soho and Essex start on the left hand side. Fine Art, Galleria, and Bowery start on the right side.
  • No additional bleed is necessary when designing layouts.
  • All prints will be trimmed a minimum of 1/16″ to a maximum of 3/8″ from the three outer sides. Please plan your designed layout accordingly. For design elements near the page edges (borders, text, cropped photos, etc.), allow approximately 1/4″-1/2″ from the edge of the page.
  • For printed covers (Highline Covers, Graphic Image covers, Pure Acrylic Covers, Essex Photo Covers), please do not design any important elements near the edges of the cover (3/4″).
